I got some turkey and duck eggs today. My 4 and 5 yr looked at them and said WOW.... are those alligators? I said no.... ducks and turkeys. They were amazed by the size difference.

Poor hubby.... I got him again. He said no more "buying" eggs or critters.... he didnt say a word about swapping them

And she left us hanging.... wondering what's gonna pop out of our eggs.

I got my 3rd set of eggs from Keeseville, NY today. All say 21 days and are small so I'm guessing Bantam of some kind.

Now its time to do a little research.

Candled my mystery eggs last night from under my broodies(eggs from Shelly in Georgia) and have nothing growing. There was some breakage of the eggs when shipped, so I'm guessing the remaining ones were either scrambled or died of heat. I will never get to find out what were in those beautiful dark brown eggs

Maybe the Post Office is sabotaging our eggs thinking we will quit mailing them.

I got mine yesterday. Clearly labeled "HOLD FOR PICK UP and Call --- - ----" did they? NO I found them SHOVED in my mailbox late in the afternoon and my mail runs at like 10am.... so I will be lucky if they develop. One was a non-marked brown egg... it didn't make it, was really scrambled. The rest were Marked MFC and since she has bantams, I am guessing that they are mille fluer cochin bantam eggs. I was super excited cause I really wanted some of those. The aircells didnt look too hot in most, I had to go ahead and sove em under the hen as soon as I got them out of the wrapping, just to be sure not to kill anything that was already developing. I will candle them in a few days and let you all know how they are doing.

Candled my first swap eggs tonight from Itsiebitsiefarms Unfortunately they were all clear. PO really did a number of them Eithr that or the heat. I still have my second partners in they go into lockdown on the 13th so theres still a chance
