Could it have something to do with the heat? I think all but 1 of the eggs he sent me hatched. And he tossed in ducks and guineas. The ducks are awesome golden but not that yellow pekin color and 2/3 are crested. Oh btw these were my first guineas and I love em even though one bit me yesterday.

Did you get pure or mixed? He sent me a message saying that he had to buy some and that the ones he received from the same person didn't do well either.

Depending on how many quail you have. I have found making a brooder for them out of an old pet taxi works great just use to tape to tape all the hole where they can't escape. Crack the top a little just enough to get the cord out a poof you have a nice qual brooder.

I have 6 eggs from mrheinz77 in lockdown right now. Darn creatures didn't want to wait for lockdown. They were already pipped this morning when I put them in the hatcher. I should have known to check them because the guineas that hatched from him last week did the same thing but I thought it was just a guinea thing.

Which made it to lock down? How are the Guinea eggs coming? I have 6 from my second swap that went to lockdown from Mt. My third set were hard to tell today. They just went in a few days ago. They are from NY. I know there were 1-2 that were developing.

I put three eggs in lockdown, but I don't think there will be any hatching

My humidity dropped so last night I added more water and candled them real quick - they are looking like quitters. One still had movement in it but there is nothing going on this morning when I looked in the window. The air cells on these were so distorted I am suprised that even three of them developed at all.

Well, my final hatch count for this swap, is 2 eggs from Sugar Sand Farm.

I "think" I have a black jersey giant chick, and a brahma chick???

I'll post pics, later today, after they dry and fluff out.
