July Online Mystery Hatching Egg Swap Now Closed

I am so tired I just want to go to bed but I still have chores to do. I know how anxious you all are. Oh, and I have eggs to pack tonight too. Maybe I can pack them tomorrow night and ship them Sat morning before I leave for Minn Saturday morning and come back still Sat night. (Oh, that trip makes me even more tired. )

Here is a song for you, sleepy boy
Easy now.
Hush, love, hush.
Don't distress yourself,
What's your rush?
Keep your thoughts
Nice and lush.
Wait.

Hush, love, hush.
Think it through.
Once it bubbles,
Then what's to do?
Watch it close.
Let it brew.
Wait.

I've been thinking, flowers--
Maybe daisies--
To brighten up the room.
Don't you think some flowers,
Pretty daisies,
Might relieve the gloom?
Ah, wait, love, wait.

Todd: [Spoken]
And the judge? When will I get to him?

Mrs. Lovett: [Spoken]
Can't you think of nothing else? Always broodin' away
on yer wrongs what happened heaven knows how many
years ago!

Slow, love, slow.
Time's so fast.
Now goes quickly--
See, now it's past!
Soon will come.
Soon will last.
Wait.

Don't you know,
Silly man,
Half the fun is to
Plan the plan?
All good things come to
Those who can
Wait.

Gillyflowers, maybe,
'stead of daisies.
I don't know, though.
What do you think?

Todd: [Spoken]
Yes.

Mrs. Lovett: [Spoken]
Gillyflowers, I'd say. Nothing like a nice bowl of gillies...

Where in MN are you going to?

I'm heading to Rochester for the day. The Midwest Regional Hosta Convention is there. My Mother in Law has a nursery that specializes in Hostas and is vending there. I like to try hybridizing Hostas so I'm going to see what is new.

starting to gather eggs for monday shipment, just a few questions that have been bugging me.....I have a few that I could do pure breed eggs but you would only get a couple eggs, or If I do barnyard mixes I tend to put as many as I can in the box often 18, most partners I get are usually marked as taking anything, questions is would most prefer only a couple eggs of specific breed or a box full of eggs?? and even when I have barnyard mixes I can usually take a pretty good guess on the hen and rooster just from looking at the egg(Yes I spend way to much time with the birds) do most people want to know what to expect, example: a list of possible breeds....and a question that is more on a personal note,,,why do I have a hard time getting shipped eggs to hatch, many go the whole way to lock down then just quit right around 18 days, I have very good hatches with my own eggs that are in the same incubator.

Knowing your partners, fill 'er up! A few pire would be a nice bonus but remember thids is a "Mystery Swap" this month so keep the breeds a mystery until after they hatch.

I've been having better luck with shipped eggs by putting them in the incubator as soon as I get them but not turning them for 3-4 days. Over 4 days I have been getting a lot of mid to late quitters.
