More like 10Hay, I just realized your in Texas too. Most people don't realize we might as well be in two different states. I'm guessing about 8 1/2 hrs apart. I'm by Houston.
Afraid I'm dumb on that stuff. Wish I could help. This is a 6 week old lemon cuckoo Orpington that just won't feather. 2 sisters have already d ied but buff sister is in coop outside with similar age chicks. I think it is a slow feathering gene on the chromosome with the bar gene that I read about. If so, I don't want it in my flock anyway. Need some of our bird geneticists to chime in. Lazytrucker do you know anything?View attachment 2209442View attachment 2209442

The ones I'm expecting today are under a broody hen. I reached under and found one pipped but that's all I can tell so farHow's your hatch going Lazytrucker? About half of mine came yesterday, only two left now.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that buys friends. I had 1 hatch three weeks ago and had to buy 8 friends. Then I had 1 guinea keet hatch and bought 6 friends. Lol. I think I have a problemI did the June hatch along and love this Raise along!! I had a broody that sat on 12 eggs. 4 made through hatching, 1 BBS Ameraucan, 1 Lavender Copper Marans, 1 Blue/Black Copper Marans, 1 splash Copper Marans. We added 6 Ameraucana chicks w same hatch dates from local breeder. Hatch Dates 6/19, 6/20.
