June 2021 Hatch - A - Long

I had a Welsummer go broody on me 3 days ago. Which means they will start hatching around the 10th and once she is off the nest with her chicks and the rest into the incubator hatching will probably go for another two weeks with my luck

The quail eggs made it just in time to hatch with the chickens. One chicken egg is obviously clear, and was removed. One I’m not sure about. I give up on trying to find my candler, so I’ll have to spend another $25 on a new one.

We’ve got a hen that went broody today. We will see if she’s committed. Never done a broody hatch before so this will be a bit of a change. I do have the incubator out of storage in case she quits halfway though.

I just put in some eggs from my hens, IDK if they are fertile.

She was still on the nest when I locked them up for the night so I moved her into the broody cage. I think it went well since I saw her start tucking the eggs back under herself. Hatch date is June 13th. 8 eggs.

Hey y’all. Setting 7 Jubilee Orp Eggs, 5 Lavender Ameuracana eggs, and 6 Ayam Ketawa Eggs on Wednesday hopefully.

I’m in this hatch a long too Pants my black Cochin is sitting on 5 BYM eggs from our flock. We have 5 roosters, I believe most are Ozzys girls. He’s a deathlayer mix.

His chicks come out amazing! I cannot wait to see them. They are set to hatch on June 9th.

Im selling some layers tonight so I have room for some babies!
