June 2023 Hatch-a-long

Pics
First one born a few hours ago from a light green egg labeled EE.. came out looking like a Black Copper Maran, feathered feet and all lol cute little bugger but all by himself right now.. i assume an EE was bred with a BCM? Bad pic bt he/she is black with white/yellow on neck, belly and tips of wings.. 4 more are pipped including 2 of mine, 1 f3 OE and an orpington.. looking forward to seeing what they look like!

My NN cross eggs arrived and I'm not happy. Everything looked OK when I opened the package and the first three eggs shells are normal and intact, the air cells free floating and bubbly though (risk you take with shipped eggs), pulled the fourth egg from the carton and was like what the heck why would you send a malformed egg, turned out the seller sent 3!!!

I'd be mad as well if I paid for that and what I get is THREE eggs that look like this! Have you contacted the seller?

I'm about to now, I just needed to calm down a bit first. This isn't something you can just miss by accident, they purposely sent three useless eggs
Certainly not a good thing, but I believe you should be able to hatch those just fine. Potentially will need to assist for whatever reason, but anatomically the egg is complete.

HOWEVER - if a seller is willing to send those eggs, especially with something as interesting as a blue egg laying NN - I am wagering a months worth of scratch that something like an EE pops out of there OR all those eggs were layed by the same hen and they are old. Either way, I would ask for a refund and not a replacement.

So I went to bed with 2 hatched.. an EE (of which I deduced was fathered by a BCM) and a Barred Rock from my own flock and 3 pipped.. this morning I woke to 6 total hatched.. from my own flock is the barred rock and a saphire gem.. of my online hatching eggs, EE, Whiting True Blue, Orpington, f3 OE.. the eng lav orp is pipped.. it looks as tho, as far as appearances go, the f3 and EE were fathered by the BCM as they both look like BCM chick's.. still waiting on 2 OE, a pipped lav orp, a BCM and an f2 OE... I am expecting them all to look like BCM at this point except for the lav orp. Was kinda hoping for a bit more variety in appearance in my shipped eggs .. I'm not sure if the OE will hatch as I have not seen any movement at all.
