This is amazing how well you can candle these! Most of my quail eggs I can’t see in at all!

I had heard that. I did try before it was pitch black and it was hard but tried later and got these. I was excited

Duckling update: Dainty hatched out nine sweet little fluffs! And she's being a good mom, too.

Oh and I forgot to say. Did eggtopsies on the eggs. All but one were developed, and the embryo look to be around 8 days old. No photos unfortunately

One of the dogs got to eat one of the blue eggs as it broke more while candling. It was fertilised so that's a good sign, hoping the three good ones develop which I'll be incubating upright and just tilting due to the air cells.
The six Silkie eggs arrived packaged beautifully, all intact with good air cells

Omg this makes me want to hatch ducklings even more!!!

3 clb and 1 brahmaXbuckeye hatched the buckeye still pipped but not out yet 7 orloffs lockdown today

Day 10 candling, tossed 1 quitter but the rest looked good. 18 Swedish Flower eggs left in there.

My eggies have one week left! Candled yesterday and 6 of 7 looked good! The seventh was a clear so I removed it. Hoping the 2 that looked very developed last week was just my eyes and that they hatch when the others do and not early!
