June 2023 Hatch-a-long

Pics
8 hrs not much action but I know not to touch the eggs. I also know not to worry.

Put my two little frizzle eggs into lockdown yesterday and there is a pip this morning! So excited and nervous as a first time hatcher. I think I've checked them 1168 times so far today haha
that time from pip to zip feels like forever!! It never seems to get old at least for me! I am in the same spot with quail eggs right now. It has been about 9.5 hrs since I saw the first pip but it could have pipped up to 7 hrs before I saw it..... ho hummmm haahaa.

Congrats!

I candled eggs tonight and they are drawn down. Getting so close!

My little chick is doing ok. Toes and one nostril is bruised, and a peck wound to the flank, but chick is alive at least and currently resting in incubator. I named him/her “Chance”.

Definitely feels like forever and it's only been 5 hours. Hope your hatch goes well and I'll keep an eye out for photos
