The only suggestion I can make here and make a point is, IF you dont expect rabbits to be used as someones dinner you have only a few choices, dont breed them, donr bring them for sale or you also have a choice if you do breed them to make derned sure you have enough cage space to keep each and every rabbit you have kindled out, or keep the prices high so such wont be purchased.
I had one girl come up to me because some woman gave her a total ration of chicken poop because she sold her VICIOUS Doe to the man.
Personally I told the girl next time someone does that, yell for me to come over I will handle the situation.
NO ONE has the right to degrade anyones choice about what they do with their property whether it be a chicken or a rabbit.
The Girl asked me what I would do if the rabbit had left a 4 inch scar like she showed me on her wrist,
I told her I would have A) either done the same thing or B) I would have had hubby put it down and sent it to freezer camp.
Now the subject of cute and furry, cute and feathered is an age old argument, please everyone keep in mind and I hate repeating myself, these animals are table fodder and such long before anyone made them pets.
The man from the resturaunt is doing his job, fresh meat is part of their daily staple. be thankfull we are here not from their country where at such swaps( markets) they offer to kill and dress right then and there.
Which everyone balked at when I suggested a mobile processing unit for a swap.
Let leave the rabbit and chicken personal feelings off these threads.
they are not conducive to happy swaps. emotions run way too high about these subjects.
