now now come on people, rabbits are not just for pets, I have pet rabbits, I have show rabbits and I have meat rabbits.
Try to keep in mind, RABBITS ARE LIVE STOCK ! they were raised for the table way before someone had the bright idea to make them into pets. kinda like chickens and pigs.
Now I will give on the fact the guy should have taken the apron off before coming round to buy rabbits.
But keep in mind: in their culture what we are doing being set up as we were, it is a Market Place much like their home country.
He can not be faulted for thinking we were providing a market type shopping area. which technically we are.
that said, the owners of the resturaunt are not going to risk their license and risk having the FDA come in and shut them down.
Likely these animals were bought for their own table fare.
No meat can be served in a resturaunt that has not been inspected by the USDA.
Another thing to keep in mind, what they serve in their home is NOT the same as they would cook for customers.
Give the guy a break, he is doing what he thought was correct, just be cause we dont see it like that doesnt make it wrong,
No more so than a guy coming around and buying roosters, I hope no one thinks they go homewith him and have a most wonderfull forever home.
