Anybody bringing Silkies to sell???? My little Partridge Silkie chick I got from the feed store passed away last night!

She was seeming sluggish ever since I got her, and even though she would perk up, apparently the extra care I was giving her just wasn't enough. RIP little Silkie!

I would REALLY like to find another Partridge Silkie... even an older pullet would be fine as Charli is no longer a TINY chick

I can't guarantee that I will buy it, as it will depend on whether or not it's what I am looking for looks/temperment wise... but I'd like to see if anyone has any they are bringing or could bring!

Haven't been here in a while (since 4/30) -- didn't even realize there was a swap near me this weekend until a couple days ago! Going to try to be there early, but with kids, that doesn't always happen.

Gayle, are you going to have a bunch of frizzles? My daughter lost one of hers this week to the farrier's dog. The farrier and I were right there a few feet away but it happened too fast to stop.

I am trying to talk her into a standard sized hen, as I worry about the bantams falling victim to hawks moreso than the bigger ladies, but she gets to pick out what she wants with the money that the farrier knocked off my bill.

The buff and the non-frizzled cochin are the ones the kids picked to take to Fair this year. We also still have the black and the white. They are almost as big as the two reds we got at Fair last year (with Spaghetti) but have nicer feathers, I think.

Fluffy is quite intrigued with them.

Hey Mid-Michiganders!!

Has everyone battened down their hatches?

Or closed up their coops and barns? Looks like this will be a big one!!

The geese have been sleeping outside, they don't like going in the barn with the goats, but we had to herd them in and shut the door to be safe.

See you on the other side!!
