June 7th Charlotte, MI

I just saw that this is also the weekend of "Joe's Gizzard fest" in nearby Potterville.....nothing like a 1/2 dozen lightly battered gizzards and a cold beverage of your choice after going to the Swap Meet.

At kankakee, in APril I went in, looked around, then back out to car and brought in my wagon with chickens in it and pulled it around with a sign on it. A number of people have a cage on wheels(wagon's, luggage carrier etc...). I did this. Worst case, find something you want. Carry it to your car, put it in with ones you want to sell. Go back in, if someone stops you, tell them you just bought them and want to continue shopping.

I do for the 'For Sale' sign on my cages after I am in the gate. I didn't want to pay $10 to sell/swap 3 birds. I think this would be pretty poor to charge for only bringing a few. After all it is a swap... Now unloading 30 might be different.

I never had anyone look twice at me wheeling the wagon with birds in it back into the swap meet...... This was kankakee and not Charlotte, so it may be different.... Worth a try though...

To sell a couple chickens? I thought it was a swap? Not a chicken sale.

To each his own, but my conscience is clear only taking a few birds that ride on my wagon.
I am not taking a spot. Isn't that the charge, for taking a spot. At kankakee it is 10 for a truck and $20 for truck and trailer, your paying for the parking spot to sell. I carry mine with me....

Again to each his own. I sleep well though....

It will only be a few, if any at all. She may take them all off my hands tomorrow

I just can't keep every bird that I hatched out. Especially the mutt ones that I have NOOO idea what breeds they even might be..... the people I got the eggs from don't know what breed chickens they have. Oh well, I'll just look locally if I get any left over tomorrow.

Thanks though for the info
