Kedreeva: What a nice & fun pic. I like the beard too. My Bantam Faverolles of course have beards. When I posted a pic once to show a fellow in another country, he exclaimed that he didn't like the beards, as it made them look like bearded goats (in so many words). I'm still laughing about that.

this morning we have 2 chicks, and 2 pips.......

I was showing you why I have trouble seeing much in there, it is a very small window.....and a very large incubator. It covers the whole top of my Heavy duty Dryer!

1 Light Brahma
1 Light Brahma x Rock

1 pip has the top almost off and is also a Light Brahma x Rock.
the next pip is just a tiny air hole....lol so I can't see anything.......

we have 13 more to go into lockdown tomorrow, and I will be leaving all those that have not hatched as yet to finish with them.

Today is day 20 for my turken eggs. I will be setting 15 more turken eggs tomorrow (and some frizzle brs and frizzle nn's)

I have 12 lavender ameraucana eggs that go into lockdown today.

I have BBS Orpington eggs that went into lockdown on Wednesday and can hardly wait but have a few questions:

My water thermo always read in between 99 and 100 but my digital always read 98 so which would you trust more?

and if my temp was low then how long could it take them to hatch if they are developing slower?

I'm so Eggcited!

Ok, it is day 25 and still have 2 eggs un-pipped under my broody

My BO egg was rocking and rolling last night, but today nothing. The other egg is too dark to candle and it has done nothing....I am starting to think it isnt going to happen.

I have a pip from my second broody! She got off her nest today. It wil be a buff orp salmon fave cross if it hatches.

other 3 hatching/pipped++ but not quite a zip yet? - 3 australorps

1 australorp pipped and started to zip then died in egg?? Not sure what happened there. Moving good and starting to zip and then left for several hours then came home and was dead??
