Oh! Ah the ugly stage of all chickens lives. I have 2 silkies and they are the sweetest things but all birds are different.I just found out about this breed maybe 2 or 3 months ago! My sister wanted tiny, sociable chickens and got Silkies, not having heard of Seramas. Unfortunately she couldn't find any as chicks and got hers during the start of their "puberty" lol. The woman she got them from had a ton! She didn't handle them or anything so these my sis got while docile are not big into human interaction. One used to hop up into laps but has stopped
But then I happened upon Seramas and fell in love! I can't wait. This is my first time ever incubating chicks myself. My teacher in 3rd grade did some chickens but that was 21 years ago!
Since we are only allowed 10 chickens per yard I'm going to have to sell any over that limit if more than 10 hatch. I'm sure I could ship them or something if you wanted them. Or, heck, I'd love a road trip!

That’s awesome! I wish you all the best.
Oh that’s too bad. :-/ We have a limit for chickens too. Although we are a bit over the limit.... maybe a bit over 20 birds over the limit?
I’m from Canada so that would be a whole ton of paperwork and a trip!
True! Canada is a beautiful place. That's nice! I'm going to be going to VA this August!Well if it doesn't cost a ton it'd be worth it. I haven't been out if the country since before I was 1. And I haven't really been anywhere. Virginia, South Carolina, Oregon, and Alaska. Lived in Alaska for almost 16 years. Any chance I get to go someplace new I take it so paperwork would be worth it lol.

I'll think about it! It's only going to be a day's trip and I'm not sure if we have time to do the paperwork and other things but I'll keep it it mind!Hey if you still want them by then I could more easily get there!
That's so good to hear!My kid really wanted to see the eggs on the candler. So I went ahead and did them. Started this batch at 7:45am Monday morning. So not in long. 17 our of 22 already show signs of fertilization. Two seemed like they might be, two we just didn't know, and one I feel fairly sure isn't fertilized, it was pretty dang clear. But, you never know. It's so early. Still fun, though!
One was especially evident! So cool to see the veins webbing out from a darker red spot!
