June Hatch-A-Long!!!

I have more hatches too the next two weeks. I put them in a week apart.

Some of mine are days apart.

Chicks that have hatched so far. Still a lot more to go. I put some crumbles on the paper towel and they are laying on them. Sometimes they are on the new clean terry cloth. They have to rest. It's a hard ordeal hatching.

I'm pretty sure chicks don't have to eat till they're 72 hours old?

True, but I still put some starter crumbles down and they peck at them and eat a little. Within the next day or two they will be interested in the feed. I have hatched out hundreds of chicks. Every year I hatch out around 200 to 300 chicks.

Mine went on L/D last night. Today's actually Day 18 but I won't get home till late so I decided to go ahead and put them on last night. 10/14 shipped eggs from New York to Louisiana made it to lockdown. So hoping for a better hatch rate than the last 2!!
