June Hatch A Long

Pics
I just hatched one chick and I'm planning to set some more eggs this week under a broody. So count me in! I dont think it will be more than six, but I'lll let you know the eggxact number when I set them. Good idea! I had fun with the easter hatch along also!

So I just did a recandle on my Australian Spotted Duck eggs. Several had some darkening going on already. This had me wondering if it was warm enough somewhere along the way for them to start developing. Even though the air cells are dancing around the egg.

I decided after 8 1/2 hours sitting next to the incubator I would put them in the incubator tonight. The are all sitting in cut up egg cartons so they are standing up. No idea how long they will be sitting like that. But my guess is anywhere between 2-4 days. Hoping for a good hatch on these guys.

Duckling pile!! I candled the last egg, definitely a dud. So these three sweet babies are home now. Two girls and a boy, not bad!! The next two weeks for the incubator babies are going to drag.

Florentine jumped nests. The eggs were cool when I got to them. I think she may have been off for 5 or so hours.

Is there any hope? I candled a few with my phone as I transferred them and there was development. We’re on day 9.
