June Hatch A Long

:he

Preeeeeetty sure that’s a crack? :barnie

I must have missed it before I haven’t taken this egg out to candle since day 1. Developing embryo.

What would you do?

Oh no! It does look like a crack, do you still see the crack when you're not candling? I've seen some odd cracks from a "body-checked" eggs where the crack happens before the hen actually lays the egg and it's repaired prior to laying. I've successfully hatched them. As a matter of fact, one of the eggs I just set has one, (all of these BLRW seem porous and I tossed a couple that weren't worth setting.)
If the crack goes all the way through, I've heard of people even having success with scotch tape! lol
This link shows a severely cracked egg still making it! You can do it!

Oh no I saw one posting where someone melted birthday candle wax over it and it hatched fine. You could try that. Or the scotch tape someone else mentioned. I have done that in a pinch when getting close to lockdown and it seemed to work okay.

:lau The egg size difference is HUGE. They're significantly larger than any other egg I've incubated or I would say you could incubate them together and be like "well this doesn't look like a duck" when it hatches. lol!!
Hmm that might work.... He doesn't look in the incubator thoroughly of the opinion they're my birds hahaha

Little goslings mostly dried off and ready to cuddle!! :love
