Another question...

Should I buy colorful zip ties or leg bands?

I have both. Rubber band like bands, both chick sizes, then colored zipties to finish. I like the rubber bands as it doesn't cut off circulation as easy in the littles.

This is where I got them and shows both sizes. By five weeks, the larger one is tight on a barred rock rooling.

I decided not to wait until tonight's candling to try and up the humidity because I knew it would take a few hours and I want to sleep tonight instead of worrying about it working properly. It went up nicely and is sitting at 71%. In about an hour I'll candle, remove the turner, then lock her down.
...and be thankful nobody is hatching in the next few hours so I don't have to name them Brett, or Brettette.

For those with round type bators with lift out turners (or any shape bator really...) do you just leave them in their spots, or do you line them up in a way that makes it easier to see now that the turner is out?

This egg is two seconds from exploding. Not sure if you can tell but the top is insanely swollen. It smells too.

And that egg has some funky shiz in it. I almost wanted to break it open, but I decided I wanted to keep my dinner in my stomach.

I just tossed 20 eggs out of 40... this is why I didn’t want the free eggs. I know their quality
