How many eggs or chicks is everyone giving their multiple broodies?

I guess it's going to depend on how many chicks hatch. With 4 broody hens I don't want to give them too few chicks because I worry there could be a dispute over who gets the babies. 3-5 each is what I'm hoping for. I have the Buff Orps & Isabella Leghorn shipped eggs in the incubator right now and hopefully the replacement eggs coming soon and then I'm getting 18 first generation Blue Olive Egger eggs by the end of the week. There should be plenty to appease the broodies. Lol

Hi,
I will have 21 quail eggs starting I think tomorrow , I used to have alot but I now only have two full growns.
Do you think I should do a dry incubation or humid? Also good luck with everyone's hatch!!!

Where do you live? Altitude matters.

Depends on what your humidity is without water...

Do you have a hygrometer inside your incubator to check the humidity?

What a bummer. I held my gosling all day yesterday like literally did every task with one hand. I put her to bed in total darkness and with a stuffed animal hoping that would keep her from trying to move. I should have slept on the couch with her.

she was back on her back at 5. I’m afraid she has completely exhausted herself and her air sacs may be damaged at this point. She isn’t making noise today and opens her mouth for every breath. She is sleeping on my lap right now whilr I try and reach out to some geese specific groups to see if there’s anything left to do or if she is in too much discomfort.

So I set another 35 eggs last night. Trying for a Father’s Day hatch. 9 more of my Java’s some silky and silky cross. Should be interesting. My broodies should hatch their babies by the end of the week. One has 5 Java eggs the other has barnyard mix. Can’t wait to see the little buggers!

The waiting is going to drive me nuts. This is the first time that I am giving hatching a few chicks a try. They are under a broody. And she is being such a good pancake. It's exciting.

All set up for the new crew. We go into IBW (Intense Bator Watch) on Wednesday-that acronym I made up years ago, someone said sounded like an intestinal malfunction, LOL.
Had to pull all the stuff out of storage and wash/disinfect it again. Using a 150W ceramic reptile bulb for heat and the monitor for our security cameras will provide a nightlight.
