Congratulations on your hatch!6/11 Silkie eggs have hatched so far! Looks like we're getting a good variety for colors too. Looks to me like a blue, a couple of partridge, some paint or splash, and a white or buff one. I'm not too good at identifying them, so I'll have to wait until they're grown to see if my guesses are right or not. I'll try to post pictures later, but for now, I really need a nap.
The second chick to hatch involved a lot of blood, at first we weren't sure the little one would make it but so far is doing alright. I figured the best thing I could possibly do is just leave them be in the incubator. I think it was the right call as they're starting to fluff out and are just as active as the less messy hatchers.
Fingers crossed most of these chicks are hens. I'm keeping the blue one regardless though, they're already just so pretty.
out side pips mean it could be another 24 hrs before a hatch. Sit on your hands and wait for a day 21 hatch.
