USPS just showed up with my "2 places at once" eggs! Extremely well packed! 2 out of 15 broke, but one of those is patchable. Air cells all look good too!

Pics of the puppy you’re keeping? Is it male or female?
Almost all of the chicks I have right now are from my own eggs or my neighbors, I do have 9 Lavender Orpingtons that I got from Rural KIng that did great. I have only lost maybe 4 chicks this year and I've hatched well over a hundred. I'm waiting on a shipment from Hoover hatchery right now (faverolles and Spitzhaubens and a couple sapphire splash) so I can see just how healthy they will be. It'll be a good experiment. Just to see how well they travel. It's taking 2 days to get here, but seeing as it's not super cold I'm not to worried. I just hope they all make it.Chicks only live 3 days inside my house and that’s it. Then they go to the brooder in the shed with everyone else and no heat... GASP I know... They don’t need heat when my shed is 85+ and they have siblings to warm them up.
I’ve lost 0 chicks from my own hatching. I’ve lost about 8 from TSC. That tells me a lot about these hatcheries that’s why I don’t buy chicks from anyone anymore unless TSC cuts me a deal I can’t refuse.
I want to get a bloodhound so bad. I want it for predators. My neighbors have a coonhound that’s has kept us predator free for 5 years. We had 1 possum but it was trying to get in my house by scratch through the doorMale red heeler puppy - 10 weeks old today.

I have hatched 300+ in the past 9 months and the only loses I’ve ever had are from TSC. They just randomly die for no apparent reason. I’ve had to do a few mercy kills, but that’s beyond my control. Think we have only done 4 of those and that includes quail, turkeys, and chickens.Almost all of the chicks I have right now are from my own eggs or my neighbors, I do have 9 Lavender Orpingtons that I got from Rural KIng that did great. The puppy is so cute!
I like Captain, but I also like Tater. He reminds us so much of our first dog we had that just passed last year. We still have to figure out a name for him. My kids are not agreeing on a name. My daughter wants to name him Pirate or Captain or after a pirate while my son wants to name him Tater or Sparky.
