June Hatch-A-Long

Update on the hatching thus far-all viable eggs have pips. 6 total hatched so far: 3 Andalusians (2 blue, 1 black), 2 Partridge Rocks, 1 Olive Egger all Meyer hatching eggs so far.

On a related note. Received some hatching eggs yesterday, roughly handled from USPS. One completely crushed, most of all of them have detached air cells. I am reading that incubating vertically is the way to go when this happens. I have had them resting vertically since yesterday afternoon. Any other hints to increase chances of hatching? Thanks all in advance for any help.
After awesome advice from others on this thread I am incubating ALL of my shipped eggs vertically and not turning for 7 days. Dry hatching all of them as well, Good luck!:love

Does this look like bacteria in this egg to you guys? Did a day 7 candle today, and I think I’ve got another blood ring, and 2 that just seem to be infertile. If this one has bacteria I’m down to 2 potentially viable buff Orpington eggs. 😕View attachment 2190522
We removed this one tonight, the black line had gotten darker and another one out of our buff Orpingtons had black marks in it too. 😔 I didn’t want to risk any of the others getting infected so took them both out.

Here is looking at you, Thor...
