This second egg to hatch is from Bella Haga farms. Since they have pure BCM roosters and pure black copper maran hens it could be pure BCM, but it could also be a mix. It came from a BCM egg.

can always use another BCM female. Feather foot.

I have 5 BLOOD RINGS out of 12 eggs now!!!! So discouraged. I think the eggs were old based on aircell size when I put them in the incubator. 2 are showing signs of life, the rest too early to tell (DAY 7). Blue eggs!!
My Marans and Orpingtons look decent so far here at day 5, except the one questionable blood ring.
One of six grocery store eggs is actually developing day 6! I can clearly see veins, tried to get a good photo without any luck, Astounding, considering they traveled from California to Hawaii and were refrigerated for 2 weeks. We will see if it actually hatches!
SO, out of sheer desperation I just ordered some chicks from Murray McMurray, they ship to Hawaii and I paid a bit extra for express to make sure the chicks arrive in time. They will arrive in early July.
Not much to pick from as much is sold out, but I did order straight run bantam ameraucana and a few porcelain D'uccle and some sexed female Delaware.
Looking forward to see their little faces!

What state are you in? This is the first time they have arrived so early. In the past Hoover shipments usually arrive later in the afternoon.
Is tracking working for you?

I ordered them through rural king! Finally got my call in the afternoon! Just picked up my babies!

Very pretty. I have one female Spitz and one boy spitz. The female trys to boss me about her name is Fraulein but I call her Kato like the pink panther movie because she always finds ways to attack me. Mostly from behind. (some might say she is a rooster, but no) She lays a white egg every day, seems like it is always messy, I think she does this to annoy me
