June Hatch-A-Long

Lost 4 of the chicks I just brought home last night from my special Hoover order. I think the shipping was just to much for them.:hit I‘ve hatched out tons of my own chicks and lost only a few in the early part of the season so I’m sure it’s not the new environment but I guess that is the gamble we take with shipped chicks.
I’m so sorry!!!

This duck is pathetic 😂

Oh no! I'm sorry. 😢
They were very quick to respond to my email about the missing chicks and issue a refund and I'll bet they will do the same for you.

Spent day cleaning and prepping coop since I work all week and hatch day is Sunday. We started w 12 eggs under broody. 1st candle had 3 questionable that I left to check next time. I rechecked at day 11. She had disposed Of those 3 on her own. The remaining 9 look like internet and posts here say they should. We have 2 bbs Ameraucanas, 2 black copper Marans, 2 splash, 2 Blue, 1 lavender
I am so excited for this weekend and am driving everyone around me crazy. This has become like a chicken support group! Here are pics of Popeye and her support Group. Lol

End result 14 hatched out of 30 total set. 4 were not fertile. So 26 total that started development, but since they were from 3 locations I am not going to do a lump number.

* 3/12 Meyer made it.
* 3/6 local made it, but he delivered eggs on a motorcycle on a bumpy road.
*8/12 ebay shipped from NC made it.
Most had loose air cells and saddles. I adjusted for that. In the end I am happy, probably have more than I need.
