June Hatch-A-Long

Well, looks like hatch is over for me. Here's the results:

I set 12 Delaware, 12 Buff Orpington and 12 Rhode Island Reds
I tossed 5 after day 14 candling that were clear
I tossed 1 on day 18 that was a quitter

I have 11 healthy happy chicks in the brooder now
and 1 chick I believe has splayed leg

4 that zipped and quit
8 that pipped and quit
6 that have not done anything

I still have the unhatched ones in the bator for now, there is 2 that are rocking a bit.

I set 6 cochins eggs from my own flock.
and got 5 hatches yesterday
Also
Crossed a white silkie Roo over Black silkie hen
and got 4 silkies now in the brooder,
2 beautiful buffs with black feet
Buttt 2 blu silkies with yellow feet Hummm

Only 6 days till lockdown on my bantam eggs! Only on day 5 of my first generation olive eggers from my own flock!

DH is on vacay the 3rd week of June! So excited to have lots of fuzzy butts hatching then!

Do yall mind if I re-join? My first batch only 4 were fertle 2 were quitters and 2 died during lockdown. I am setting 22 eggs today. 4 bantam white silkies, 6 frizzles, 6 necked necks, and 6 Ameraucanas.

I am getting very nervous... not even a pip

all 5 were moving when I put them in for lockdown... I won't be ordering anymore silkie eggs if this doesn't work. I will just have to order chicks.

Hatched 3 adorable BBS Ameraucanas today out of the 5 that went to lockdown. 2 blue and the 3rd is either dark blue or black.
