June Hatch a Long

I have a 22nd hatch date but we all know that could be 2-3 days swing either way so anyone near there could have the 24th Hatch.

On a side note I finally have a pipped keet in the batch of 10 I got from the broody guinea nest. She was out and about for feed but no pips on nest. I get her feed ASAP as soon as I see her when I do so she can run back to her nest. Hasn't stayed around any time when she gets a nibble. Devoted mama.

Rouen duck didn't set after dz eggs in nest so I dropped em in bator........ July hatch open yet......

Its not all my fault. The birds just keep laying eggs

And kinda like El i get to work with what I have. So 1 breeding pair of rouens wil hopefully give me a nice size flock next year. And when the buffs mature it will be the same all over again. Was 2-3 year for the guineas. And my chickens are being agreeable too, these are breeding their replacements being 3-5+ yrs old.

And even though my cows were out and in neighbors garden yesterday they said if I wanna breed back my cows just let em run with theirs because they run a bull. Guess it saves fencing time when the bull splits the fence to get to my girls. Besides I was gonna let em in my pasture to mow it down. W/O my bull they don't keep it knocked down alot. We have a great arrangement with our neighbors. I supply water and occasional help with cattle. They supply me with firewood I cut, junk scrap I take in. Winter hay free of charge and free stud service. Wish everyone had the great neighbors I do.

And also get 200 +/- acres to hunt when seasons are open.

Ok I have to complain... Not that I want to but I am grrr at a fellow employee. Just received my next batch of shipped eggs and went to pick them up from the main building. The lady that was working there picked up the box and gently shook it and said 'is it really eggs?'
OMG!!!! Yes!!!! I said don't do that and she laughed did it again and said is it really? I again said yes i am hatching them and they are an investment!

Grrrrrr.
Ok done ranting.

Update on my babies; have 2 more silkie chicks. One hatched under momma and man is momma protective!
The crunchy SF died last night. Don't know why. So that leaves me with 2 AMs, 4 silkies, and 1 SF. Hmm... Now I have 24 AM going in bator tomorrow. 2 broody hens still sitting and AMs and Orps in bator now.
And DH having issues with surgery site!! Ugh!
Oh Sorry I said I was done complaining.
it's ok we are here to listen

, after she put them down! My first set of eggs arrived when I was out to lunch with the words FRAGILE, LIVE and HATCHING EGGS scrawled all over the box. When I came back from lunch the lady in our front office told me they were awfully quiet the whole time and she hoped they weren't all dead.

Which ones do I choose?
