June Hatch a Long

I still just have the one out and I have 11 more pips. None are zipping yet. The one that is out will frantically chase my flashlight as I move it from one egg to another, rolling them all. A min ago she was also pecking at the other eggs

Wow, sounds so cute, playing games with her

I have 2 that look like they want to zip, beaks out of the shell but when they cheep, the other 4 go running to it and bash it around - silly goofballs.

They are waiting for you to go and do something so while you are not watching, they will quickly zip and hatch.

Thanks shellz :) I drive my kids and bf crazy talking about my birds and goats. I'm trying so hard to create a self sustaning homestead but its so hard when I have no support. Then I get down...they will all eat the eggs and meat but want no part of the rest of it and it is such a joy!

omg want...im in love with orpingtons...all colors . it is my goal in life opathetic i knowp to collect all colors of orps .
I don't think its pathetic! I think that's great! You got me imagining a big flock of all colours! Dreamy!

I LOVE Orpingtons!!!
If anyone is wanting mail order eggs the seller I got them from on ebay is st0376, though not sure how you could look him up that way.
The auction was for 12+ and he sent me 20 and 15 hatched. So I am quite pleased!
3 came out black (which happens with the blue colors) and the other 12 are all shades of lavender.
I wish I could keep them all!!!

Yeah, Sonia, I drive them nuts at lockdown! Lol! So stressful, but so worth it! I want to get goats next. Just the 3 of us, so don't need a cow.
Must be rough without support of the family though. My teen son could care less, but hubby is pretty good. He helps with butchering and building things for them. Now we have a very friendly buff orp & he likes to hold her. Even got my son to pet her....once. Oh well, maybe things will change later on.

I'm super jealous of your livestock!!!
We live within the city limits (even though it's the suburbs and just over the city line is rural) and we can't have any kind of livestock (goats, pigs, lamb...)
I really want raw milk and to be able to raise meat.
Though I guess I should be grateful we are allowed poultry back home (Maryland) no one is permitted any type of chickens unless you have more than an acre and the chickens have to be registered...

Thought about moving? I know, not that simple. That sucks!
