June Hatch a Long

I had put some mutt eggs (in a separate bin) in with the Malines to help with the hatch rate. I heard a full bator helps. Just over 24 hours into lockdown & 2 mutt eggs have pipped & chirped. One Malines egg has pipped, but on the other side of air cell. I almost missed the pip because its facing the floor.

I love chicks that sleep on their backs! Too cute! Mine have never done it, but maybe one from this hatch might.

Oh yeah, having a blueberry & lemonade vodka cooler right now. That should get me thru most of the day now!

Congrats, they are too cute.

I still have some stragglers. I think they are having a cup of tea first before they make an appearance. I have 2 that are so nearly ready to zip but they are taking their time.

My last cream legbar finally pipped, yipeee. So far final count should be 6 of 6 RIR (when the final 1 decides to come out), 8 of the SLO, 1 red sex link and 3 cream legbars. So should be 18 of 21 if all goes well. Not too shabby for first time and shipped eggs.

Wow! How wonderful! That is absolutely AMAZING for shipped eggs!!! So far I have 18 chicks hatched. 4 lavenders and another egg just pipped. The rest as a mix of mostly EE's. I have a few other pipped too, and 4 where I don't see anything going on. Three I'm not counting yet as I put them in the bator 2 days later than the first group. Maybe they are all waiting to hatch together

Either way I'm already thrilled with this hatch!

I had 1 hatch but it is bleeding

I have put some corn starch it and so far so good.
