June Hatch a Long

Oh no I hope they get it back on fast. Do you have any hand warmers

You would think I would considering my husband used them all the time when he worked... Now that he's disabled... Son found them and used them... Kids... i tell ya, they keep you on your toes!

I told myself I was not going to candle till day 10 ---- well mabey day 7 or 5

I wish I didn't candle, I'm so worried now. This egg is the only one this far along in development! Is it possible for an egg to mature too fast?

Hmm... Did you put it in the incubator at the same time? I don't think eggs mature to fast, but its possible... Good Luck! :)

I had eggs from a single hen that seemed to develop faster than any of the rest during my last hatch. In the end they also hatched a full day before any others even pipped, all healthy, just ahead of schedule :) good luck!

Wow, I've never heard of that happening before! :)

I just asked in the beginners thread.... But I am gonna ask here too...

How many of you'll put the eggs in the incubator on their side, and how many standing up?

I just saw that some people do that (put the eggs standing up, pointy end down). And I am wondering about it, since I have had some malpositioned chicks in the past.

Putting the eggs that way, does it eliminate malpositioning? (And why does my spell check say I spelled that word wrong, how is malpositioned supposed to be spelled? )
