Well ya have to admit it was there for the takin hard to resist lol all in good fun them eggs are about ready ain't they ? If she has been on this long she will hatch them don't worry
Tomorrow is day 16 on the ones in the bator so I am only about three days from lock down. I believe the ones she is sitting are about a week behind. I don't see any movement yet. Is that normal or should they be rockin' n rollin'?

That's the issue. Thick brown shells. I can see growth in all but it's pretty hazy and these old eyes are having a little trouble making out details. Saw that duck video and that was amazing!! Gonna have to configure a better candler for the next time around.

Last hatch I had some dark marans eggs. I used an old slide projector to candle and it worked great. Until it burned out. Then I got a good LED flashlight - like 150 lumens for around $15, and used electric tape and a piece of PVC pipe to make the lens smaller. That works really well but a couple of the very darkest eggs I could only see movement right against the air cell. I've seen 200+ lumens lights but didn't want to spend the money. The nice thing about the high lumens lights - they're LED so they don't get hot. This hatch is faverolles so I can see really easy into these.

Nice pics Hokankai!!! As usual:)

Well, apparently my AM's in the bator decided May wasn't the right month for them... So, on to June! Too bad I have 11 more eggs that need to go to lockdown tomorrow night, and 8 on the 3rd and 13 on the 7th... Plus adding a bunch in tomorrow for a June 21st hatch!

Oh and my 3 broody's will have hatches this month too... Don't remember how many each have, I think 8, 6, & 6.

Probably need to break down and buy a better led flashlight that what I have. I am just so darn close to the end here I'm getting nervous. First timer.
