June Hatch a Long

i am not hatching Plymouth rock but i do have 39 American game and 27 mixed due to hatch the 22nd as well.

I have 13 ducks due the 22nd too!

my plugs have been out since day 1, should I put one in and see if it makes a difference? Humidity has already dropped down to 40% since I posted. I think it should be fine, just making myself nervous lol

Humidity under a broody also varies with the weather (although they do control it by adjusting the amount of ventilation, skin exposed, etc). Small fluctuations are no biggie, more the average that matters. Just watch air cell growth or weight loss and you will be fine!

LOL I have 5 grand daughters, and 4 silkie chicks. But only 3 grand daughters are old enough to enjoy the chicks, 10 yr old 5 yr old and 7 yr old. And of course 8 more chicks in the incubator!

Wow, you are lucky! I have only 1 and no signs of anymore which is a good thing as we do get to concentrate on her and spoil her.

New incubator arriving on Wednesday, eggs on Thursday and backup incubator sorted in case eggs arrive early but I think I will be ok. Time normally flies when I am at work but I bet this week it is going to drag - murphy's law.

WOO HOO!!!!!! looks like the 22nd is gonna be a busy busy day for a lot of us. and hopefully pic heavy

, I love seeing all the pics of the new babies and maybe all the pics will keep a lot of noses off incubator windows lol. and from past experience with my incubations mine should start hatching somewhere late night on the 21st to early morning on the 22nd since I set my eggs the evening of the 1st. that is... if everything stays stable and I don't have any unexpected temp changes and what not.

I love baby ducks too but the chicken math at my house has not turned into poultry algebra YET.... hehe.

Mind if I join? I set 22 marans eggs yesterday, plus three eggs from my favorite hen who was killed by a neighbor's dog on Friday, and also five EE's for a friend, so the 23rd should be when mine are due

I have 3 babies! THey are silkied Chocolate/Mauve Amerucanas and I am soooooo excited!!!! :yiipchick One of them was the egg I cracked when trying to float test!

I have a few Barred's left in bator due saturday. Their shipped and very poor quality be surprised If I get a couple chicks from them. The leghorns I set with them are in little better shape but both have terrible air pockets. I have some BSL, Cochin crosses and some BA's due the same day.

My hatch dates are 8th 11th 22nd and 29th. Chicken Rouen duck and guineas. Broody hatching as I type. Guinea broody due sometime soon. And I hope/think another somewhere else sitting. So I will be busy and having to be super look out for babies outside.

Sorry be off for more than usual. Our new dog decided its better to chew on ethernet wire than chase poultry .
