. Did you add the fan Big ? and you can expect a temp spike around day three do not adjust the bator just crack the lid and let the air escape this is normal as the embryos are just starting to develop and starting to put off there own heathave a fan in my incubator. temp readings are all different seems the temp below the eggs is higher than above???
yea i added the fan. i just confused as why the temp would be higher below the eggs. just set them last night. i was hoping a fan would reduce cold/hot spots. not make them lol. yes i have 3 thermometers. one on each side and one in middle. two on outside/bottom reading about 102-103.5 and one in middle reading about 98Also try not to use one temp reading use three or better four readings and average theses and this will be the true temp,,,, the fan should eliminate any hot spots
. If this is a computer case fan make SURE you have it moving the air up and off the top of the bator also do not run it at it's rated voltage they are made to cool a computer case and run at a very high rpm you need to slow them down cut the voltage down to 5-9 v dc and it will even out if it's the optional fan kit that came with the bator you should be good to go as the fan is already wound to run much slower than a case fanyea i added the fan. i just confused as why the temp would be higher below the eggs. just set them last night. i was hoping a fan would reduce cold/hot spots. not make them lol
yea fan is facing up and its cell phone charger i think at 7v or so, fan is rated 12v so not full speed either. maybe its just pushing air to sides and just making it warmer at the bottom. still puzzles me though. no no that's the ticket I have made this mod to several styros over the years and that's how it's done 7v is perfect - 5 v should have it at about the correct rpm do you have it tucked up close to the lid 3/16 to a 1/4 inch ?yea fan is facing up and its cell phone charger i think at 7v or so, fan is rated 12v so not full speed either. maybe its just pushing air to sides and just making it warmer at the bottom. still puzzles me though
i would say its about 3/4" away from lid.no no that's the ticket I have made this mod to several styros over the years and that's how it's done 7v is perfect - 5 v should have it at about the correct rpm do you have it tucked up close to the lid 3/16 to a 1/4 inch ?
