Other two in bator are good and I just looked and two out of four under the broody are out. She's doing better than me so far and this is her first hatch!

I didn't think about the yolk rupturing -the goo was yellowish colored. Next hatch I'm getting my doctor to give me some Xanax...LOLAww- sorry. Sometimes things just happen - they have a big job to do and sometimes it goes wrong. It may have been a problem inside the egg too, and happened regardless - like tearing the yolk sac before it's been absorbed. Sorry though. I hope the other one is doing well.
Pics of new babies please. So happy for you for the 2 that hatched successfully and well done broody! Wish I had a broody, would be so much better for the nerves.

Here ya go! I don't dare risk life or limb to get a pic of the ones under the broody. She has one black & one yellow chick.
Xanax sounds perfectI

Aww they are gorgeous, enjoy them.
Sorry to hear about your loss....but these fellows/ladies look great! We have some under a broody right now too and my DH said to just let nature takes it course, that is how they did it when he was a kid. We know she has hatched eggs before but never with us so it is our first time. Incubator is due to come alive sometime this evening or tomorrow. Fuzzy butts are all around.
Very cute.
