DH checked the eggs this afternoon and nothing yet....though he is so impatient he probably just glanced at them. I asked if there was any movement and he said no but he did not recall movement in our first hatch.....Men! Sorry.....Husbands!....oops Sorry again. LOL

Yeah......he might of had a Hatfield and McCoy incident had he grown watermelon. My DH always said that chickens love them and they go crazy when you give it to them. Ours has only had pieces of melon. Hopefully we will grow enough this year to share with them.

Just found this thread. I have 7 Crested Cream Legbar eggs in my Brinsea mini. They are at day 15. I candled at day 10 and was 7 for 7 with movement in all of them. So not quite a week to go for my first hatch. Very excited. And learning a lot from reading up on here.

This only my third post here and first time hatching with a bator, but I'm kinda worried I really messed up. My eggs are supposed to hatch Tuesday(day 21) but I just came home from the lake and I have 4 eggs that are chirping and have pipped! agh! They were still in the auto turner (I was going to take out the turner tonight and lay them flat to hatch). I carefully took them out of the auto turner and laid them in the bator and filled both reseviours to up the humidity.

I have one zipping as fast as I type. PLEASE tell me they'll be ok.

They will be fine just let them do their thing bring the humidity up to 65% and let the game begin ,,, next hatch check your temps if your three days early you were a lil hot there are no other explanations for the early pips late day 19 or 20 is normal to a point but three days ? To warm
