June Hatch a Long

My last hatch had humidity 90% so don't panic too much. All of mine hatched besides the ones I marked as duds during candling (which I opened up at the end to be sure and none of them ever started developing).
Actually my humidity and heat were really high the whole time and I still had a 50% hatch rate on mail order eggs from ebay.
The ones I have in there now I kept right between 99 & 100 the whole time with humidity around 30 and local eggs & it's looking like my first hatch is going to end up being more successful!

Fingers crossed for you, I hope it works out. How many days in are you?

Oh good! The air cells are looking great I just wasn't expecting this humidity jump! It looks like rain is moving in today. Today is day 19 for me.

Mine always seem to start on day 20... the earliest the night of 19. I had them all hatch last time on day 20 & 21. But I think depending on the temp they incubated at will determine when it will all start.

Thanks for answering. So earliest I will see anything is from now (my time 6pm) and 10pm tonight (bedtime) and hopefully tomorrow morning when I get up, I should start to see be some signs that something is happening. Geez, this is worse than waiting for your birthday presents

.

My temp has been between 37.5 and 37.6 all the way through with 1 or 2 days that the temp was hovering just over 37.6 after I added some water as the air cells were too large to my untrained eye.

It's like Christmas that you keep waking up in the morning but are told you were a day off... then again :D hehehehe I decided to lay all of my eggs down this time (except for the 3 I put in a day after the others, I know, bad me). Those three are in a carton in the corner so hopefully they won't get kicked around too much! But as I was endlessly staring at the eggs I saw 3 of them move!!! I called my kids in and they saw it too so I know it's not just wishful thinking :D I still don't expect a pip until tonight or tomorrow but WHOOOO! Oh and the humidity is now staying at 70%. A bit higher than I'd like but I'm not going to mess with it anymore.

yep, I agree. Nothing moving in mine, but every now and then I am sure I hear something but when I get up and look, nothing to see.
Oh and big aircells are good... unless massive :) I find my best hatches come from big aircells!
I went with a dry hatch for the first 10 days but when I saw the air cells, I thought they were too big and I had to add some water which took the humidity up and it fluctuated between 34 and 44%. My house is very humid but I am running a humidifier all the time but it shows humidy at about 65% in my room so now I am worried that either I 'dried' them out too much or I 'watered' them too much. I don't do things simply always got to be complicated

Hee hee, the waiting is a killer! Even with half of my chicks hatched, the 2 eggs with no pips yet are killing me!!!! To help with the waiting I stole some pics of Ava with her new babies. The incubator babies aren't fluffy yet, so I am waiting until the hatch is done for their photo op :)
