June Hatch a Long

Got another pip. This one on an egg from my favorite EE. Wrong end again. We are 2 for 2 on that. The first one is making some progress and peeping. Fingers crossed. Day 23.

Oh my, I've missed a lot! Some very interesting situations going on! I sure hope everybody hatches ok! I've had temp spikes with my first hatch using LG still air. Still had a good hatch rate. You just never know.

1stTimeChik, I think there should be a smiley holding a margarita glass, lol! Going to get my mix Saturday. As luck would have it, we went shopping for call ducks last week & will be picking them up on hatch day! What was I thinking?! Yep.....I'm insane & enjoying every minute of it! Lol!

I guess I should leave the house and stop staring at the eggs for a bit today... lol

And yay for the new ducks!!! I have BO's and they tend to want to go broody on me all the time! I'm hoping the one will want to be a step mom. She walks around the yard clucking and puffed up lol

ok everyone...... I am gonna post this on the june and july hatch a long threads.... I need some advice...... everyone remember the 7 eggs I got from my friend that were already developing??? well at first I thought they were approximately 7 days then when I candled again a few days later they looked a few days older than what I originally guestimated. I keep candling these eggs to try to keep track of their progress and it seems every time I candle they look older than I originally thought. my first estimated hatch date was july 6th then july 4 well I candled them again and I am not sure they will make it that long. the eggs are pretty full... there is not much room in the eggs left for them to grow and I have no clue when I should stop turning and up the humidity.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

im in the same boat. hoping to go home to some pips. i dont want to be dissapointed

for you, I have just arrived home and nothing yet. I am starting to get worried that somehow I have killed them. As far as I know, the temp was ok although for the first week was slightly lower than week 2 and this week although the varience was no more than 0.4C from lowest to highest. I really hope that something starts happening soon as I have my granddaughter coming to me on Friday to see the chicks. If nothing hatches, I am going to have to try and find some somewhere to get for her.

I would have loved to have been home today instead of at work but I have taken annual leave for tomorrow and Friday so I could be here to watch them hatch. How are your eggs doing, still rocking and rolling or do you have some pips?

I am not sure of the answer, but I think there was a post on this thread somewhere or on the beginners hatch thread about turning not been so critical in the last few days up to lockdown. Perhaps take them out of the turner and just hand turn twice a day until you see internal pips.
