June Hatch a Long

ok everyone...... I am gonna post this on the june and july hatch a long threads.... I need some advice...... everyone remember the 7 eggs I got from my friend that were already developing??? well at first I thought they were approximately 7 days then when I candled again a few days later they looked a few days older than what I originally guestimated. I keep candling these eggs to try to keep track of their progress and it seems every time I candle they look older than I originally thought. my first estimated hatch date was july 6th then july 4 well I candled them again and I am not sure they will make it that long. the eggs are pretty full... there is not much room in the eggs left for them to grow and I have no clue when I should stop turning and up the humidity.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

Honestly it's going to just be a guess. You should to go by the size of the aircell on what to do. Does it look big enough? There is no way for you to completely know so just take your best guess.

for you, I have just arrived home and nothing yet. I am starting to get worried that somehow I have killed them. As far as I know, the temp was ok although for the first week was slightly lower than week 2 and this week although the varience was no more than 0.4C from lowest to highest. I really hope that something starts happening soon as I have my granddaughter coming to me on Friday to see the chicks. If nothing hatches, I am going to have to try and find some somewhere to get for her.

I would have loved to have been home today instead of at work but I have taken annual leave for tomorrow and Friday so I could be here to watch them hatch. How are your eggs doing, still rocking and rolling or do you have some pips?

I just got back home after some lovely car troubles and still nothing. There are a few rocking still but not 1 pip yet! They will move around more when I peep and cluck at them

OMG my DH will think I have completely lost it if he comes home from work to me peeping and clucking at the incubator.

Fingers crossed something starts soon. Tomorrow is hatch day and I can see myself staying up half the night watching and then oversleeping tomorrow morning and missing all the fun.

I have just heard cheaping from my incubator

It is so cute. I had to cheap back. I still don't see any pips though, does that mean they have pipped internally.

OMG I am so excited. Come on babies

HAHA! See I knew you'd join in my crazy and talk to them!

Yes that means they have internally pipped! Go babies go! Mine are still just rockin... That is too funny what you said about staying up for nothing and falling asleep only for them to hatch then. I was thinking the exact same thing!

Hey Alibabe, you're not the only one that chirps at the incubator! You're among friends here - to heck with those who don't understand!
Yes, the chirping means they have internally pipped! Hooray! They're almost here!

I saw one egg moving which I was not sure whether it had a chance as it had a crack in it and I put candle wax on it so I am really surprised. All quiet now, no more cheaping, hope they are alright.

How long does it normally take from hearing cheaping to piping? What if they start pipping on the part of the egg that is in contact with the incubator instead of in the air (if that makes sense)?

Sorry about all the questions, guess you can tell this is my first attempt.

but I will close all doors between the bedroom and the lounge so I can cheap at them whilst DH sleeps. Sounds like you have rock and roll chicks, maybe play them some music.
