Ill be locking down my button quail at 8pm tonight. So eggcited! Most of the eggs are too dark to see anything but air cells and a couple are wonky but I saw veining and movement in at least two of the lighter eggs yesterday

WHOOOOO!!! Party time soon!I got some eggs rocking in the egg turner, just before switching them to the other unit! Yay! Day 18, the fun begins!
Congrats on the four that hatched and hopefully it's just the beginning! After having a zero hatch for the last THREE incubating sessions, I have a tiny little bit of success this time with FOUR having hatched successfully. The latest chick is a bit weaker than the others, but still hanging in there. Since it is now day 23 and I still have at least 20 eggs in there, I opted to do the float test for the very first time. Well, I either did it wrong or every single one of these eggs is still viable! A few rocked and rolled, but all floated with about 15% above the water line, just like the posted instructions said. So back into the incubator they have gone. No idea what will come of them, but at least there is still hope.
FYI - The hatched ones so far are a BLRW, a FBCM, a Barred Cochin and a Barnevelder. Yay!
Welcome to the crazy!!!I know I'm kind of late joining in, but I have 15 eggs in lockdown. Today is day 20! Nothing happening yet, but I'm still feeling pretty patient. The nice thing about this hatch is that I've been way to busy to obsess over it like I usually do. At least, not until today. I'm off work today, and the house is empty except for me and the eggs. I sure would love to see a pip! My eggs are a mix of Black and Lavendar Ameraucanas, Black and Blue Copper Marans, and a few EEs that I added in last minute.

YAY!!!! I couldn't imagine how absolutely adorable and tiny those must be! I think I'll have to try some sometimeBest of luck!
I wish I did! My flock is pretty small right now. I lost half my chickens to a fox massacre a couple of months ago, and the remaining girls aren't laying very well. The eggs I'm hatching are from the same breeder I got my original flock from. I'm trying to build it back up. I only have 3 Ameraucana eggs left in the bator, and I'm hopeful they'll hatch. I'm even more hopeful that I'll get at least one lav hen out of the three. My chances aren't great. I think it was a split roo over Lav and Split hens.Welcome to the crazy!!!Today is day 20 for me as well and I have my first pips, 5 so far. Now I HAVE to ask as I've been on a HUNT! Do you ever have any black or black split eggs to trade or sell? I have lavenders as well (ameraucanas) and have been looking for nice blacks to help improve. Right now I have 7 lavender's in the bator and 12 more ready to go in next!![]()
Uggg! So mad at myself :-( I. Just dropped an egg. Perfectly formed chick inside. I know its happened to others too but I feel horrible!
Maybe we can trade some eggs later in the year? The button eggs are only the size of a nickle...soooo tiny.

Hello everybody,
I hope somebody can help please. I have a little chick and it's day 24, the last one hatching on it's own was on day 21. I have already assisted a bit as it seems malpositioned, but I am unsure as to carry on or not? What would you do? I would be really grateful if anybody could read my thread and give me some more advise.
