I'm up to 12 Lavender Orpingtons when I woke up this morning!!!!
3 more have external pips, and 1 more is rocking. 2 I already pulled out for blood rings and the last 2 I marked as questionable in candling aren't doing anything.

But I purchased 12+ on ebay (I was mailed 20) and I'm going to have 15 hatch so I'm SUPER happy!!!

I also have 3 blue copper marans with pips.

3 Babies out as of this morning...7 eggies left...not too sure if anything will happen with them at least 3 I questioned when locking down...may candle tonight after I put the babies in the brooder if there are no more pips! YAY BABIES!!!

Just because you have no idea when they are ready, I'd wait until there is an internal pip. Mine looked full like that almost the whole last week. Best of luck!

OMG! WOW!!!! Congrats! That really is amazing for shipped eggs! Now I need to just find me some black Ameraucana eggs somewhere!!!!

It is day 24. I have one egg that pipped about 36 hours ago. She is still trying to get out. There is a decent sized hole and a hairline crack another 1/3 the way around the egg, but the edges are getting dry. I used a q-tip to moisturize the edges and put a damp paper towel under the egg. Is there any more I can do for the poor little thing?

The second egg pipped yesterday morning and is finally making some progress this morning.

How long does this take? I'm trying to keep my hands off of them, but they are starting to sound desperate.

The third possibility is peeping but hasn't pipped. I understand it can take another 24 hours to pip after internally pipping, so I'm trying to be patient.

The rest of the 13 are quiet and not doing anything that I can see.

Everything is running so late, I'm hesitant to dump even the eggs I'm sure aren't developing (one of the ones hatching is one I had in the area for quitters and had marked with a question mark).

Temp steady at 100, humidity hovering around 60 -- a bit more or less depending on when I added water.

YAY!!!! I have 3 pipped this morning too!!!! Unfortunately one is completely in the wrong spot and I see a bit of blood BUT I can see the chick breathing fine and it's the loud one! So GO LITTLE ONES GO!!!!

6 now pipped and 1 egg has a second pip next to its first pip - so excited now!!! I have a dentist appointment in 1.5 hrs, don't want to cancel it but I hate to leave these babies although everytime I have left them to do something, I come back to the incubator and there is a new development. They are hiding from me, I know it

Today is day 21. So not worried..but not too sure about at least the 3..they just looked "off"...haven't hatched a lot but haven't had any that looked like them at lockdown before..they're not as "full"...I'm happy with my 3 that DID hatch (and did it when I was home!! good chickies!) and if I get more..I'll just be that much happier!!

Wet Qtips did work! Noe the little one can see!

Jac, thanks so very much for all your help!! I would have lost them both if not for you! I am working on the temp in my incubating bator. Unplugged the hatching one so I can clean it and get ready for next hatch. That is July 3.

Yeahhhhhh so glad I could help! If you dont get that temp up and stable you might be looking at a July 5th or 6th hatch date!!! And even if you do get it up, they still might be late. If they have been cooking all this time at 97 or 98, it will extend your hatch date by a day for every degree you are off.
