June Hatch a Long

I ended up with 2 chicks hatching wirh assistance. One is really small compared to the other. If I hadn't helped, they would have been shrink wrapped for sure. Both have membrane stuck to them! One has it stuck to her eye. Hope this won't cause problems for her!! (I say her but don't know for sure).

And yeah you finally got 2!!!!! You really have to get that temp up. 99.5 at bottom 101 at top of egg in turner!!

Like they said above. Wet qtip will get the membrane right off

You can get her out and use a wet qtip or a wet cottonball and get the membrane off.

Wet Qtips did work! Noe the little one can see!

Jac, thanks so very much for all your help!! I would have lost them both if not for you! I am working on the temp in my incubating bator. Unplugged the hatching one so I can clean it and get ready for next hatch. That is July 3.

I want to thank everyone for your advice on my little problem ..... don't know what I would do without yall. I guess I will move the eggs to the hatcher and just turn 2x a day and candle until I see an internal pip before adding water.

I also want to say congrats to all of you with new babies..... some gorgeous pics.

Great pics everybody! Thanks for the internal pip pic! Now I see it.

Going into lockdown later this morning. Switching eggs from genesis unit to still air LG unit. I've heard they hatch better in a still air at lockdown. We'll find out this weekend!

YAY!!!! I have 3 pipped this morning too!!!! Unfortunately one is completely in the wrong spot and I see a bit of blood BUT I can see the chick breathing fine and it's the loud one! So GO LITTLE ONES GO!!!!

Congrats!!! I has to completely clean my last hatches up with qtips. They never looked good (sticky chicks) until they grew in feathers! They are beautiful now and created some of the eggs I'm hatching

here are some candling pics I took this morning. I have the eggs in the hatching bator now to wait and see what yall say about locking them down.
