easier to just lock them all down at once. Skipping one day of turning at the end won't hurt them in the slightest. So lay them all down when the earliest eggs would need to be laid down. Thanks! So I set part of my eggs on Friday the 23 and the rest on the 24. Since they didn't all start at the same time do I have to lay part of them down the day before the rest? Or can I just lay them all down at the same time? They are in an auto turner. Not sure what to do.
you know how when they first hatch they will follow you through the incubator windows? I use that to my advantage and use the already hatched chicks to wiggle the ones that are asleep on the job...lol. it seems to make them hatch a little faster. When I do that I can usually keep them steadily hatching until the end. When I don't do that it seems to take them all a little longer. So I use the first chicken to harass the other chickens out of their shells..lol5 pips, one is starting to zip! My little baby is going around and telling them to hurry up. Lol!
