June Hatch-A-Long

Same here. Last hatch I did was last year and they hatched by now. I don't know what went wrong they definitely have chick's but none of them are hatching...

Hmm. Even a day with Lower temps can delay hatching...have you candled to look for movement or internal pips? Do you have any external pips?

A little late into the hatch-a-long, but I just ordered some serama eggs from BHep! They are due to arrive on Thursday, (so they'll probably wind up being born in early July.. Not sure if they belong in the June Hatch-A-Long

).

This is my first time incubating eggs! I just wanted a few chickens at first, so I ordered five chicks from mpc, but after two died and one is becoming more and more roo-like, I decided I wanted to add only a few more... so I went out and bought an expensive incubator and ordered a dozen (plus) eggs. Now that I have an incubator, I don't think it's going to stop there... (I'm already thinking, d'uccles, frizzle cochins, modern game) HELP

I heard seramas are little more difficult to hatch, so I'm a little glad that I'm starting with them because I don't need that many chickens! (at the same time I really want all of them to hatch out)

I'm going to try making chickens a "thing" with my friends hahah. They all think I'm a weirdo for picking pet chickens... (but they're so cuddly.. and they lay eggs... how could you NOT want a chicken??? In time they'll learn mwahaha)
You could join the July Hatch-A-Long?????
I'm in it!

I would have gone in by now. Like I said, you are more patient than I am. :/

I candles two eggs yesterday. One has dark spot in air sack but I don't know what it is. Could be internally popped but not sure. It's not dark gray like blackish color. it is more like light to dark gray

24 hours after the first pip we have 8 chicks! 7 Silver Laced Wyandottes and 1 Ameracauna. Two more Wyandottes are on their way out, and 1 other Ameracauna has pipped. (15 other eggs not doing anything yet- can't even tell if they are moving with all the movement in the bator)
I am pleased that all of the many HOURS I spent reading the posts on this forum seem to be paying off! Thanks to everyone who has offered advice so far!

Sooo sad.

For those who wondering I don't "assist" hatch if they haven't pipped at all.....

Can I ask what method and what bator you used?
