I got my eggs from MrsMoonCat today too. The PO wasn't as nice to mine. I lost a Delaware, a Cochin, and a Blue Andie. I didn't see any damage to the box but all 3 were on one end. They must have dropped the box from 10 stories up, or something.

That is the pits Jim. It seems no matter what we do to protect them, the PO finds a way to squish some. I am glad it wasn't all of one or another that they broke. I think I did try to alternate breeds as I packed the box.

I just received a box of lovely, lovely blue eggs from madamwlf in Maryland today! The outside of the big box took some hits from the afore-mentioned "****** off" PO office, but the beauties inside the inner box were extremely well packaged and in perfect condition.

They are resting comfortably for a while before making their entrance into the bators. (I have got in the habit of splitting my shipped eggs between my two incubators in case I have another temp spike.) They all go into the same hatcher though at lockdown.

Now the bajillion dollar question is.....Does the LB stand for what I think it does???? I am very excited and dying to know

That depends on what you think LB stands for. It's the only pure breed group I have laying right now.

I am in the same boat as mrheinz77 I didn't have a temp spike but big storm here knocked out electricity for a long time

I will candle tonight and see if any survived. I had muscovy eggs that I bought and duck and guinea eggs and the bator was FULL. The regular duck and guineas only had 2 days to go before lock down, muscovy still had a week to go before lockdown.

Being cool is a whole lot better than baking them. I'd bet, if anything, they will just be a day late. Its like mom getting scared off the nest.
