Oh how the summer has passed,
I spent time with friends
got new chickens
went shopping
had oh so much fun
and it all has to end with school starting monday
wave goodbye to fun, great weather and all those late nights and hello to work and teachers cramming their lessons down our throats...
I'm wish MD would have the 4-day school week in place this fall :[

I'm sorry for you.

Fifteen days until there is nobody here in the house during the day while I am at work. Making messes. Leaving dishes in the sink...wrappers by the computer. (note- this will still happen, but not during the day)

Fifteen days until I don't have to say,
"You were home ALL DAY LONG, and you couldnt fold a load of clothes/run the vacuum?"

Fifteen days until the house will look exactly like it did when I left it in the morning.

Fifteen days until I don't have to listen to, "I'm BORRRRREDDDD MOMMMM"

For me the blissful peace of an empty house started yesterday. I got to get up and not have to be forced to watch cartoons or Hannah Montana. Summer is officially over for the kids.

But now the real work begins of helping with homework, soccer practice and games, school projects, field trips and teacher meetings. I guess it is over for us parents as well.

Got them out of a clearance bin at the local Dollar General.
They are all probably related some how.

My son has had football practice all summer long, and my daughter has had cheer practice for the past two months. I will finally get to enjoy it being 'after school' so that I only have to pick them up. Not take them AND pick them up.

Yay me, again.

School doesn't start until September 2nd here. My oldest DD and I are counting it down! We both are looking forward to it. 1 more year to go and my youngest will go too!
