The stockings were hung by the roost box with care,
in hopes that Santa Roo soon would be there;

The chickens were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of mealyworms danced in their heads.

Now Hilda, now Lucy, on Tillie, on Electrolyte,
It's been quite a day, and a miraculous night,

To the top of the coop big and small,
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!

I heard Santa Roo exclaim as he flew out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

Season Greetings to everyone who makes this site so informative, helpful, and entertaining. Really, really appreciate having a site like this - so many questions I've had about chickens have been answered, and answers to questions on problems I wasn't even aware of existed. Blessed my five little pullets are happy, healthy and rewarding me with eggs. I think they have a better Chicken Mama because of this site. May all go well for you and yours in the New Year.
