Sad! The more research I’m doing and the more searching for hens I’m doing, the more I see the re-homing of the Roo issue. I was on Petfinder and there are at least ten Roos for adoption and not a single hen for 30+ miles!

I wouldn't do this with a "rare" breed, but I have heard that refugees gladly accept food of any kind. All mine were silkies, so I found homes for them instead.
