Just bought new incubator!!! HHD 48 egg incubator

I am going to bring the temps to proper tonight, and hopefully these will go in incubator tomorrow... 4 white (small one is a Spizenhauben I didn't like the size of the air cell in one of the white, but hopefully it will still take.) 20 blue ones.

Don't tape the thermometer to the egg!!! Anyway, these incubators do work... just gotta keep an eye on it from time to time.

I also want to add..... if you have the surrounding styrofoam packaging that came with it, use it! It helps keep the temperature of the incubator more consistent.

if I use the foam the computer says 38c, but inside thermometer said 110f This is after running a day, but the eggs seem to be developing normal....

I bought 2 56 egg incubators like that and they were crap. Complete and utter crap.

One never worked properly (only ever had one egg hatch from it out of dozens) and the other was buggy as crap and stopped working after several months. If you find it crapping out on you, you can follow the Franken-bator articles in my signature to gut it and make it work with a conversion kit. They work much better now! I would only use them in a climate controlled environment or as a lock down incubator (when them embryos can stand more variable temps). I'm currently living in an old farmhouse and last year, the temp swings between night and day killed DOZENS of eggs I had in those incubators.
