just pulled some clears others look like they made it to day 3 and quit. hhd incubator. I will keep them in for longer...

I have a bunch in my home made incubator that were fridge eggs. With the HHD I will just have to play with it more.

Good thing I kept them in longer! I candled these from incubator- normally I would not have candled them this early- but I thought they were all cooked anyway so it would not matter. Only 2 were clear, I pulled them and these below all had developed. NOT COOKED!

Actually, they seemed a bit behind, but def more developed than yesterday. I am going to stick these in incubator and just let them be, hopefully surprise my self at the end. Shamo Hybrid said I should put the foam on the incubator, I am doing this now since the eggs def need to be a bit warmer, (not worried about their development being behind a bit since it is day 3, hens may not sit on their eggs seriously at this stage naturally, at this stage and alot of starting and stopping would happen in the nest) but now it is time to buckle down. Below is the foam on the incubator. (YES NANCY, the temps are off, because I just opened it to put the eggs back in.)

I’m still following to see how it goes. My fiends hhd mini 96 totally quit on her yesterday. But she did get 30 something batches out of it before it did.

My other eggs that were fridge eggs from a health food store, and put in a homemade incubator, they are from the same farm as the fertile ones I have in my HHD are mostly clears so far, I will candle again on monday. :( Maybe the blue egg laying chickens didn't get as much action from the rooster, or were over "washed when delivered to the store.
