Hi,
I just want to check these are both cockerels? They haven’t started crowing yet and are 4.5 months old. Other cockerels I have that are a week older have been crowing for weeks now.
Thanks 😊

Are you seeing pointed feathers in front of the tail (saddle feathers)? At this age combs and wattles will be red in pullets as well. The lack of crowing doesn't necessarily mean much with other boys around, but these breeds will get pointed feathers. I don't see them, I think pullets, but sometimes my eyes are not good enough to see pointed saddles in a pic.

This is what I'm seeing on each male that makes me believe they're cockerels

They are both cockerels. They might not begin crowing until late, given the fact that other males are around and they will be more scared to show dominance in front of them.

I am not 100% sure to be honest. I will add some close ups. They are not long and pointed like my other 2 cockerels which are both very obvious by their feathers .
