Actually it isnt really that gross....I was just wondering if maybe I had the water too hot or something when I went to pluck him. He was a very healthy rooEh, that looks kind of gross to me... personally I don't think I would eat it. No idea what it is.
Yes he was definitly dead. I had the water temp at 148 Healthy free range 20 week old rooWhat was your water temp?....
If the water was hot it would have cooked it, rather than turning it red or pink. I've done a lot of birds and never have I seen one that looked like that. Maybe a silly question but I'll ask anyway, was the bird dead when it went in the water?
That's a healthy, non contained rooster correct?
I wish I could give you more info but I can't at the moment. I'm gonna call around and see if I can find out because I'd like to know.
